Metacognition is self-awareness of your thoughts, feelings, intentions and actions.
What metacognitive strategies did you use to monitor your performance and task completion this trimester? In my subconscious I pushed myself to make sure that my project got done on time so that my promise was fulfilled of finishing Python by the end of the trimester.
- Referring to the bulleted list above, which Habit of Mind will you focus on as you begin your next project? Manage Impulsiveness, to hopefully use my time in a better manner and think about my questions and responses before saying them.
Will you practice it in another course? Yes
How? I will think before say or ask of other people so that I am only asking the most appropriate and relevant questions so that everyone remains happy.
- As you think about your future, how might these Habits of Mind be used as a guide in your life? I can use these tools as a guideway to stay efficient in the future in whatever I do, at a job, or at school. Things like the Habits of Mind are tools to a successful and happy life.
- Do you embrace creating, imagining, and innovating? Do you regularly propose new ideas and strive for originality? Explain I will always be open to new ideas that people provide or that I will provide if I think of creative and new ideas. I love to think up new ideas, but I always feel like you need to have multiple bad ideas just to get a really good idea to happen.
